You’ve made it to my corner of the web, so here’s far more than you’d like to know about any one person from the internet. But if you have more questions, please feel free to reach out!
- Unless otherwise noted, I took every picture and penned every word on this ‘ere site.
- I was born in Colorado, grew up on Cape Cod, and after high school, lived all over the world. Some of my favorites were Guatemala, Brazil, Thailand, and Colombia.
- I graduated from Moody Bible Institute a while ago, now I’m almost done at Denver Seminary for the foreseeable future!
- I love Jesus as much as my little heart allows. I know that it can be volatile to call yourself a ‘Christian’ these days, so here’s a bit about what that means to me:
- Agree with the major creeds which established orthodoxy.
- Outside of those, there is very little to be dogmatic about.
- Love everyone, no buts, no exceptions (like Jesus would)
- There is far more to discuss in that arena, but that’s for longer convos!
- I was a youth pastor for eight years and now am a chaplain. I still do a lot of guest preaching and speaking all over! I loooove speaking in front of people. I used to get nervous beforehand, but now I don’t; I get excited.
- I’ve written 11 books; a combination of nonfiction, spooky fiction, and poetry.
- I’ve given hundreds of tattoos, including 51 to myself. I have a total of 76 (as of November, 2024). I have no formal training but haven’t had any complaints or infections so far!
- I got scuba certified in 2021 and I LOVE it. It’s one of the greatest feelings/experiences in the world and I’m daily tempted to drop everything and go scuba dive all day every day.
- I hate the cold and love the warmth, especially when you can go hop in an ocean or lake.
- I love movies. I have seen and rated almost 2,000 on Letterboxd. My favorite is The Brothers Bloom.
- I’m generally more optimistic than pessimistic. The best is yet to come!
- I’m a major extrovert and could always be hanging with people or talking to them or emailing or WHATEVER! If you write me, I’ll always reply!

Hey Ethan! Saw you on the news today and thought I would reach out! You honestly inspire me to do more cold-weather running and I’m looking to do some more winter runs with no shirt (and shoes even!)! I live in Colorado so I’m gonna do some snow runs. All cause of you man!
